1. Why did you choose to pursue the career of engineering?

I wanted to do something that involved numbers. Being from a small country, something like physics or pure maths did not give the prospective of many job possibilities afterwards, so engineering seemed like a good compromise.

2. What obstacles did you have to overcome to achieve your goal, especially as a female professor in engineering?

Many that may be it is hard to remember. I think the important thing is not to give up and keep trying, despite the obstacles on the way.

3. What is the message you would like to give to young girls for following a career in science and engineering?

Do not be intimidated by stereotypes. Follow your passion and persevere.
